  Jason showed up to rescue our non-working AC during the recent heatwave. I had another company came looked at my AC and it was determined that my compressor was dead. Replacing it would cost $3.5k. Jason came in for 2nd opinion and found out the wire was exposed and touched the casing of the outside unit. He tested the compressor and confirmed it is still working. Jason then fixed the wiring issue in about 20 minutes. My AC was up and running in about 30 minutes! Thank you for being very honest and fixed our issue quickly!

  Beginning of the season heating issues on a 30-year-old furnace. I called 3 other services that were booked out for days and charging outrageous prices. Above and Beyond squeezed me in the very next day. Their prices were very reasonable and on top of that, as a first-time customer I got a 10% discount! The techs, Michael and Derek, were great! They clearly explained the problem and what it would take to fix it. It took extra work to get the system up and running but they stayed with it until I had heat. Liz in the office was a real pleasure to work with. Above and Beyond is now my first call for any future HVAC needs. I recommend you give them a try. You won’t be sorry!

  What a team! I called for help and within 15 minutes Michael was at my front door. Jason and Michael worked together to figure out what needed replacing on our 31 year old furnace. The cost was under $1 K. They only suggest replacement if the cost will exceed 1/3 the price of a new furnace (typically $6 K). Nice to know these guys would rather ensure keeping a furnace running as long as possible vs. unnecessarily replacing one. Michael was confident about the repairs and our furnace is already up and running like it never had an issue, before. Thank you for your above and beyond service! 🙏🏻

  Main point: Jason and Above & Beyond should be your first call for AC repair. They for sure will be ours from now on. Starting a run of 95+ degree days in Iowa City and of course our AC goes out. Called 5 companies before 8am, either no response or told it would be 2-3 days before they could get someone out. Jason, from Above & Beyond returned my call within 2 minutes, told me he could be out that same day. Showed up ON TIME. Figured out the problem in minutes and fixed it, then went the extra mile and installed a new thermostat for us in about 5 minutes (our old one was on its last legs). Friendly and professional the entire time. Also, very affordable, offering service and pricing that the competition definitely can't match in Iowa City. Anyone who lives here knows how hard it is to find professional, reliable, available service for home issues. Above & Beyond Heating and Air Conditioning is a real find and will be our go to every time from now on.
