Account messages

Texts about your own account, from our office lines. You get them only when you ask, or when you turn them on:

Verification codes and claim links, when you ask for one.
Project alerts, when a homeowner posts a project in your trade and county, if you switch them on in your account or say yes when our assistant asks on a call. At most one text per project, not between 9 pm and 8 am Central.
Call confirmations, after a call with our assistant, if you agreed on the call.
Missed-call notes, after you claim your listing: one short text from (515) 325-5333 if our assistant leaves you a voicemail and the number is a mobile.
Replies: our automated assistant answers texts to (515) 325-5333 from contractors and homeowners. We text a homeowner only to answer a text they sent.

How you agree

When you choose to get a code or claim link by text, or sign up on the sign-up page, you tick this box. It starts unticked, and you can choose email or an automated phone call instead.

For project alerts, you switch them on in your account (Settings, then How you hear about it) for a phone number you confirmed with a code, and tick this box:

Or, on a recorded call with our assistant at (515) 325-5333, you hear this question word for word, and alerts start only if you say yes. The assistant confirms the mobile number with you first.

Texts are optional. You can claim your listing, send quotes and use this site without them, by email or an automated phone call.

Stopping texts, help and privacy

Reply STOP to any message to stop our texts. It also switches them off in your account here.
Reply HELP for help, or email us.
Reply YES to confirm a number you signed up on the sign-up page. Until you do, that number gets nothing.
Opting out does not remove your listing. Your listing comes from the State of Iowa’s public register. To change or remove it, use the removal page.
Message frequency varies. Codes and claim links are sent when you ask for them. Project alerts are sent when a matching project is posted, at most one per project, and not between 9 pm and 8 am Central.
We do not share mobile opt-in data or consent with any third party, and we do not sell it. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
