Davenport Electric Contract Company was established in 1921 in Davenport, Iowa by Hiram Heysinger making Davenport Electric one of the oldest electrical contractors in Iowa. The Heysinger family owned and operated DECCO for 60 years. Fredrick D. Fuessel purchased DECCO in 1981 and in 2010 the Fuessel family sold the company to Barry Van Blaricom. In 2021 Davenport Electric will celebrate 100 years in the electrical contracting industry as a family owned and operated electrical contractor. DECCO has been a vital part of the changes and innovations throughout the history of electricity.
