  Overall, we are happy with the quality of our home, but the post-sale follow-up and communication from the builder have been pretty awful. This isn't an isolated incident—getting them to respond to anything requires constant chasing. Earlier on, we experienced another painful 2-month delay just to get a simple trim piece fixed. When our realtor finally stepped in and reached out to the builder on our behalf, the builder reacted by becoming deeply offended and proceeding to berate and slam her simply because our repair wasn't deemed "urgent" enough for his liking. That lack of professionalism carried right over into our 1-year warranty process. To give a clear picture of how that has gone, here is the timeline: May 15: Sent an email asking about our 1-year warranty walkthrough. No response. May 26: Sent a follow-up. The builder responded 5 days later stating they don't do walkthroughs and asked us to just send a list (which was totally fine with us). June 3: Sent our list of 5 items (3 actual issues, 2 questions). No response. June 18: Sent an email asking for a status update after hearing nothing. No response. July 2 & July 6: Received texts saying someone was coming out to fix the deck. No-show both times, and no email response to inquiries. July 9: Sent another email asking for a response. No response. July 16: Painters showed up and did a good job. July 28: After still hearing nothing about the remaining 4 items on the list, sent another follow-up email. July 28 (Response): Received a reply stating, "The sink strainer is not covered as it is a wear and tear item. Similarly, pocket door as well is not a requirement that it needs to latch or lock." The real issue isn't the policy—it's the silence. I am actually totally fine with those two items not being covered under warranty. But why couldn't they just tell us that two months ago instead of ghosting us for weeks at a time? Building a home with them went well enough, but once the papers are signed and they have your money, don't expect any baseline of professional communication, accountability, or basic respect for you—or the professionals who helped you buy the house.
