I only chose to live here because it's decent apartments and affordable. The thing that bothers me is there have been thieves around the buildings taking packages. I pointed out the issue to the management and they didn't care one lady basically was talking to me like I was crazy on the phone because I asked her what she can do. They told me to make a police report which I did.... But of course nothing was done either so I'm just posting this as a warning for future tenants. Get your own cameras and put it outside your door!! And just don't trust anyone ever since I did that nothing has been stolen again but I've seen cops outside a few times so I'm probably not the only one who has reported this. Moral of the story I'm pissed they didn't do a damn thing and it took months later for them to send out an email to atleast warn everyone that there were people out stealing small packages.... the big packages weren't getting stolen but small ones. The buildings around 4112 Lincoln swing aren't locked outside and don't have any cameras that's the shitty part cause a lot of their other properties have locked buildings! Lastly, the maintenance are useless they've been saying they were gonna come in and change air filters I've even put in a maintenance request earlier in the year and they never come. I know it's gonna be a hassle getting my deposit back when I move.

My experience with FPM was highly disappointing due to their lack of financial transparency and unprofessional management. Following the end of my lease, they charged me for utilities that were explicitly the company's responsibility. The situation was made significantly worse by Jonas, who was consistently rude, dismissive, and displayed a complete lack of professionalism. In an effort to reach a fair resolution, I even proposed prorating the charges for an amount that I never should have owed in the first place. However, they were completely hostile and left no room for conciliation or reasonable discussion. It is clear there is a total lack of supervision over their employees. I have been forced to escalate this to a legal process to seek a resolution. It is deeply concerning that a company of this scale appears to take advantage of the student population in Ames. I strongly advise future tenants to document everything and scrutinize every bill.

When we leased here, multiple things were broken from door handles and blinds to walls and countertops. Despite that, even though all of this was noted on the inspection sheet, they still nickel and dimed us for stuff that wasn't our doing. The maintenance guy literally digs through trash to scrap repair things which felt unprofessional and took forever to even address anything. The last straw was them taking 200 dollars off our deposit for carpet cleaning even though we did it ourselves and they said it was fine. They also took 200 off for 2 hours of cleaning despite the place being spotless when we left. We did everything we could to clean but there's only so much you can do with 30 year old abused units. We felt scammed despite being probably one of the more respectful tenants.

They have worst customer service. They showed me an apartment and I liked it. Following week, I took another appointment to show it to my wife. But on that day, before 5 minutes of appointment time, they told that current tenant is in the process of renewing the lease. And asked me to see other apartments. When I visit it first time, they assured that it will be vacant from next leasing year. Such a worst customer service and leasing consultant/manager were playing game with potential tenants.

I lived in the same unit for 3 years (2022-2025). The maintenance guy was very prompt and super kind. Our apartment had bedroom doors with holes punched through and shelves fixed by duct tape in the refrigerator that were left by previous tenants for us. They weren't fixed the whole time I lived there. My experience living there was fine; it was a safe and decent college apartment, but I did think it was a bit overpriced for the quality. The bathroom shower was a sliding door and it was gross. The caulking was peeling so mold would grow under it and it would be impossible to clean. Some updating would make the whole place line up with the price more.
