Heimes Corp. has been a reliable subcontractor for us across multiple projects, Digs 2, Omaha Steaks, and NSP. Professional, responsive, on schedule, and quality work every time. As the GC, we'd gladly work with them again.

Good corporations need to be recognized. This morning, I noticed something on a Heimes Corporation jobsite next to my neighborhood that I didn't think was safe. I went to their website. Within thirty seconds, I had the name and number of an actual person, who actually answered the phone, and actually listened to me. He (Jeff) addressed the issue (it wasn't even Heimes's mistake) and then followed up with me to report they took care of it. He even sent a photo. I do a lot of work with construction companies, and they come in two kinds: those that care and those that don't. This one cares. So, if you're considering hiring them, just know they actually care and do a great job.

I am extremely disappointed with how this situation has been handled. On May 29, debris from one of this company's trucks struck and damaged my windshield. I reported the incident immediately and provided the requested information. After weeks of waiting and repeated follow-ups, I was finally contacted by the company's insurance carrier, only to be informed that my claim was being denied. As the vehicle owner left to deal with the damage, I find this outcome frustrating and unfair. My biggest concern is the lack of accountability. Companies transporting loose materials should take every precaution to secure their loads and prevent debris from damaging other vehicles. I would have appreciated better communication and a greater willingness to stand behind the consequences of an incident involving one of their trucks. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company.

I dump a lot at heimes and pick up material from there and they are truly amazing. The pit to pick up material needs to be adjusted cause it can delay your trucks. But for the most part it’s not too bad. I don’t mind heimes while I have a work day to get stuff done. The only thing that I really don’t like is: you can never talk to anyone if you are calling to see if they have a material. It’s “leave a voicemail!” Update: long wait! Still! :( I am sitting at about 10 minutes. Only truck! :( but the loader is great. He is like the only one though. Running everywhere! Keep up the good work loader!

This summer there was a crew in my neighborhood doing some boring. The underground pipes etc were understandably marked before they started digging. The only problem is they didn’t actually start digging until several weeks after they were marked. So I mowed and replaced the 20 some little flag markers about 6 times until they actually started work (annoying). After they finally got around to it, they placed the excess dirt in a mound on my grass, the gentlemen then proceeded to stake a tarp over the dirt and left it there for several more weeks. This effectively killed portions of my lawn. I didn’t understand what was taking them so long to complete this project. Every time I looked outside they were just standing around. I had to actually go and ask them if they were ever planning on removing this dirt from my property. What could have taken a few days took 5 weeks! Who is paying for this?? They were completely unprepared and unprofessional.
