I'm deeply disappointed to see an employee (Michael Viglione) of Fagen Inc publicly post a comment saying "Shame on Virginia" in response to the swearing-in of Virginia's first Muslim Lieutenant Governor. This comment came across as dismissive and discriminatory toward religious diversity and inclusion. Employees represent their organizations even outside of work, and public statements like this reflect poorly on the values of professionalism, respect, and cultural awareness that many expect from a company operating in diverse communities. Regardless of personal beliefs, expressing hostility toward someone's religion or identity-especially in a public forum shows poor judgment. I hope Fagen Inc takes diversity, equity, and inclusion seriously and addresses behavior that can alienate or offend others.
